Early on in quarantine, I was going for runs a lot. I planned a collection of jewelry around sidewalk chalk art and one particular house I passed by a lot. It was no wonder I was drawn to that house, because it turned out to be the house of Nicole, aka CoCo of Sanders Hat Co. She designs and makes amazing hats, so check her out if you haven't already.
Thisbolotie is one of those pieces inspired by my runs by her house during this time. It includes the male piece to a stencil cutout I sawed of a cow skull, and is mostly brass but includes some 10k and 14k gold. The beads suspended from the bolo tips are brass and semi-precious gemstone mixed with quartz. Two layers of thick brass lay the foundation on which the skull stencil and vintage turquoise stone rest. The stone was purchased from a vintage lot, so I am unsure of the mine, however it has an amazing forest green and black web especially for being a smaller stone. Thisbolotie has been awhile in the making, and I hope you like it!
